Junction City, KS : Driver dead in crash near Junction City on Highway 36 on Monday, 13th August 2018

An 82-year-old Eugene man has been identified as the victim in Saturday’s fiery fatal crash on Highway 36, Oregon State Police said Monday.

James Allen Guse died when his vehicle drifted slowly off the road and crashed into a concrete bridge pillar just before 10 a.m. Saturday.

The crash occurred near the Highway 36 and Highway 99 intersection, south of Junction City.

The vehicle then caught fire. Guse was pronounced dead at the scene.
