Sheboygan County, WI : 3 people injured in Highway 57 crash in Sheboygan County on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015
A serious crash closed a portion of Highway 57 in Sheboygan County Tuesday morning.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department said a collision between a semi truck and a Prius was reported on Highway 57 near Highway 28 in the Village of Waldo at 7:56 a.m.
Investigators said the Prius was westbound on Hwy 28 and failed to yield to the northbound semi on Hwy 57.
The driver of the Prius, a 33-year-old Port Washington man, was taken by helicopter to Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay. His passenger, a 25-year-old Adell man, was taken by helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
The driver of the semi, a 57-year-old man from Pennsylvania, was not injured in the crash.
Highway 57 was reopened to traffic at 12:40 p.m.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating the crash.
