Rochester,NH : One person sent to hospital after two-car crash in Rochester on January, Thursday 18th 2018

A driver was transported to the hospital following a two-car crash in Rochester Thursday night.

At 8:52 p.m., Rochester police, firefighters and emergency medical service providers responded to an accident on Rochester Hill Road at the intersection with Haven Hill Road.

Officers learned that Victoria Hall, 24, of Rochester, was driving a Hyundai Accent north on Rochester Hill Road. Walter Ellsworth, 55, of Rochester, was driving a Ford Escape, turning southbound on Rochester Hill Road from Haven Hill Road, crossing the northbound lane of Rochester Hill Road.

Hall’s car collided with Ellsworth’s as it crossed in front of her. Both vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage and were towed from the scene. Rochester Hill Road was shut down at the intersection for a short period of time during the investigation.

One of the drivers was transported from the scene by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

Ellsworth was issued a summons for failure to yield after stopping at the intersection.
