Wentzville woman, 29, killed in head-on collision, police say

A Wentzville woman was killed Saturday night in a head-on collision on Highway N, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.Lauren R. Hollingsworth-Smith, 29, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Highway N, one mile east of Perry Cate Boulevard, when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2006 Ford F-350 pickup headed eastbound.The crash happened at 9:12 p.m.; Hollingsworth-Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the pickup, Randal L. Phillips, 38, of Lake Saint Louis, was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West, where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.
