Cincinnati, OH : 62-year-old Cheviot man in critical condition after I-75 crash on Sunday night, April 3, 2016
A 62-year-old Cheviot man is in critical condition after police say he lost control of his minivan on Interstate 75 Sunday night and struck both a guardrail and a barrier wall.
The crash happened at about 8:35 p.m. in the highway's southbound lanes between Mitchell Avenue and Interstate 74.
Police say James Watters was driving a Kia Sedona, lost control, left the right side of the highway and struck the guardrail, and then veered across the highway and struck the barrier wall.
Watters was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was listed in critical condition early Monday morning. He was wearing a seat belt, police said.
Excessive speed and impairment are not believed to be factors.
