Muskegon, MI : One person injured in a collision between school bus and motorcycle on Apple Avenue on Thursday, May 7, 2015

A collision between a school bus and a motorcycle sent one person to the hospital on Thursday, May 7, according to Muskegon Police.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Apple Avenue and Wood Street shortly after 6 p.m. It resulted in the motorcyclist being temporarily lodged underneath the Muskegon Public Schools bus. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital.

The motorcyclist's condition is unknown at this time, police said.

Muskegon Police officials on scene were unable to describe the exact events of the crash at this time. The driver of the bus said there was only one child left on the bus at the time of the crash and she was nearing the end of her route.

Neither the driver of the bus nor the passenger on bus was injured, the driver said. The crash remains under investigation.
