Huntsville, AL : Crash involving 18-wheeler causes fuel leak, lane blockage on portion of I-565 in Huntsville on Wednesday, 6th November 2024

A crash involving an 18-wheeler has caused a fuel spill and traffic delays Wednesday morning on Interstate 565.

According to Don Webster with HEMSI, the call came in about 3:42 a.m.

Webster says the 18-wheeler hit a guardrail, which ruptured the fuel tank that was on it.

According to the Alabama Department of Transportation, it happened on Interstate 565 westbound, near the Mooresville Road exit.

Webster says no one was injured in the crash.
