ANDERSON, SC : Coroner Pedestrian hit killed on highway in Anderson County on Wednesday, 3rd September 2024

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said a pedestrian was hit and killed overnight in the Hopewell community.

According to Highway Patrol, a truck was heading south on Highway 81 when it hit a pedestrian who was in the road at the intersection of Evergreen Road around 12:35 a.m.

The coroner said the victim was wearing dark clothing at the time of the impact.

At this time, the coroner is not releasing the name of the victim.
