Wilton, N.H : Two people died in double-fatal crash on Route 101 near the Eastview Condos on Saturday, December 5, 2015

Two people were killed in a head-on collision in Wilton on Saturday

Police have identified one of the drivers as Marcus Harmon, age 31, of Keene. The other victim is Wendy Davis, age 67, of Temple.

Harmon was driving in the eastbound lane when his Lincoln sedan crossed over into the westbound lane and hit Davis's Subaru station wagon.

Both drivers were pronounced dead on scene. There were no passengers in either car.

The crash happened on Route 101 at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday near the Eastview Condos.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

"It was head on. The speed limit in this area is 50 miles an hour so it was a very severe accident," Wilton Police Chief Brent Hautanen said. "The Lincoln sedan was traveling eastbound. It appears that it crossed over the line and struck the Subaru station wagon head on."

Officers are not sure what caused the crash.

Hautanen said. "At this point, there is a member of the state police accident reconstruction unit that's investigating it. He'll continue the investigation at that point, to try and determine cause."
