VANCOUVER, WA : Crash in Vancouver takes the life of a pedestrian on Sunday, 28th January 2024

A man died on Sunday night after police say he was hit by a vehicle and then run over by another vehicle.

Vancouver police said the 67-year-old man was hit on NE Fourth Plain Blvd. near 135th Avenue around 6:50 p.m. He has not yet been identified.

Witnesses say he was crossing the road from north to south but was not in a crosswalk. Investigators say the driver of a pickup truck traveling eastbound told them they did not see the pedestrian. The driver stopped, causing traffic to back-up.
