Artesia, CA : A man, a baby and a toddler were killed in a rear-ended crash at State Route 91 On Saturday, July 9th, 2016

A man, a baby and a toddler were killed after their Jeep rear-ended a gas tanker and was hit by an oncoming car in suburban Los Angeles.

The 1 a.m. Saturday crash happened on State Route 91 in Artesia.

California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt says a Buena Park man was driving his Jeep with two children inside when he rear-ended the tanker, lost control and landed upside-down in oncoming lanes. A BMW then hit

the Jeep.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified those killed as 33-year-old Lavell Mann, 9-month-old Legend Mann and 3-year-old Logan Mann. Legend was a boy and Logan was a girl.

Their relationship wasn’t immediately clear.

Brandt says they were properly restrained.

The driver and a 6-year-old girl in the BMW had injuries that were unclear.
