CRYSTAL LAKE, IL : Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision on February, Sunday 11th 2018

Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after a head-on collision.

Police and firefighters responded about 9 a.m. to Route 176 just west of Erick Street in Crystal Lake.

Upon arriving, first responders saw two vehicles with smashed front ends, one of which was in a ditch.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department took two people to the hospital with minor injuries. The road was closed for about 30 minutes, Crystal Lake Fire Battalion Chief William Whyte said.
