Bakersfield,CA : Passenger seriously injured in gardening truck crash on April, Monday 2nd 2018

A gardening truck crashed into a tree in southwest Bakersfield Monday afternoon, seriously injuring a passenger.

The truck, driven by Luis Choquehuanca-Jara, left the roadway in the 7600 block of Harris Road and hit the tree, police said. Officers were called to the crash at about 4:40 p.m.

The passenger, whose name was not released, was in critical but stable condition, police said.

Alcohol or drugs don't appear to be a factor.
