Richmond, VA : Chesterfield school bus involved in crash in Richmond on Sunday, February 26th 2017

A Chesterfield school bus was involved in a crash Monday at an intersection in South Richmond, police said.

The accident, which also involved a Chevrolet Cavalier sedan, happened about 8 a.m. at Walmsley and Broad Rock boulevards.

The bus had just dropped off students at Falling Creek Elementary School, and the driver and her two children were the only ones on the bus at the time of the accident, school officials said. They were not injured in the crash.

The sedan's driver was taken to a local hospital as a precaution and has been charged with reckless driving, police said.

No other details were immediately available.
