Dayton, OH : Semi driver critically injured in Multi-vehicle crash on NB I-75 at Edwin C. Moses Blvd. on Thursday, June 18, 2015

A semi crash along Interstate 75 north at Carillon Boulevard had the northbound lanes of the highway shut down for about four hours Thursday.

According to Moraine police, the 45 year old driver of the semi struck another car, then the median which caused a light pole to drop onto the southbound lanes. No one was hurt from the falling light pole.

The southbound lanes were shut down briefly while crews cleaned up the damage. They were reopened around 4:15 p.m.

Both drivers were taken to Miami Valley Hospital. The semi driver remains in critical condition. the second driver was treated and released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

All lanes of traffic both north and south were back open as of 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
