Fountaintown man dies in motorcycle accident
A Fountaintown man died after being in a single motorcycle accident Sunday evening.
David Bentley, 55, died at the scene, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. Units were dispatched at 7:23 p.m. Sunday to County Road 250 W. and County Road 1200 N. for a single motorcycle accident.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was northbound when it drove off the east side of the road, ejecting Bentley. Investigators do not know why the bike went off the road and the investigation continues, Major Louie Koch of the sheriff’s.
