Grand Haven, MI : Man falls asleep at the wheel, causes head-on crash on Lakeshore Avenue north of Butternut Drive in Port Sheldon Township on Sunday, 1st July 2018

Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision Saturday. It happened at around 5:35 p.m. on Lakeshore Avenue north of Butternut Drive in Port Sheldon Township.According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, 44 year-old Matthew Winters of Holland fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the center line, crashing into a car driven by 21 year-old Abigail Bowman from Grand Rapids.

Both were taken to the hospital. Winters was listed in stable condition. Bowman was listed in good condition.
