Dodge County, WI : Motorcyclist was killed in Saturday crash on October 25th 2014.
A motorcyclist died when he crashed into a power pole at high speed while fleeing from a sheriff's deputy, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office reports.
The deputy tried to stop the motorcycle rider around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, but the rider refused to stop and accelerated at high speed.
Less than a minute later, according to the sheriff's office, the motorcycle left the road and crashed near St. Helena and Fox roads, south of Horicon. Alcohol also is thought to have been a factor in the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle, a Horicon man, was being withheld by authorities until his relatives could be notified.
