Tamworth, NH : State police investigate fatal crash in Tamworth ON Saturday October 8 2016

State police say they are investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday morning in Tamworth.It happened at about 7:15 a.m. near Chocorua Lake.

Police said the person was driving south on Route 16 when the car went off the road at a curve.The car hit a dirt shoulder and rolled over. The driver died at the scene.

Police are not releasing the name of the driver until all family members have been notified.

The crash is still under investigation but police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors.
