JAMAICA, IA : Authorities identify 2 children killed in Iowa crash on Tuesday, 28th April, 2020

Two children who died in a crash that left five other young people injured have been identified as residents of Perry.

Claire Brown, 5, and Lindsay Brown, 10, died Tuesday when the minivan they were off a gravel road and struck a field entrance, The Iowa State Patrol said.

Patrol spokesman Sgt. Alex Dinkla said many of the children in the vehicle were related, The Des Moines Register reported.

The 16-year-old driver was licensed, Dinkla said. None of the injured, which included the driver, two 11-year-olds, a 7-year-old and another 5-year-old, were in critical condition Wednesday, he said.
