Cornelia, GA : Georgia high school student killed, 2 others injured in crash with DUI suspect on Wednesday, 20th November, 2019

A 17-year-old high school student died Wednesday after a two-vehicle wreck near Cornelia, authorities said.About 7:45 a.m., three Habersham Central High School students were injured in a crash on Camp Creek Road, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said. All three were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where the 17-year-old driver later died.The student was identified by the Georgia State Patrol as Carlos Christo Morales, of Baldwin. The other two students who were injured are Morales’ brother, Obertino Morales, and a cousin, Jose Jimenez Castro, both 15. They are at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, GSP said.The driver of the other vehicle, 37-year-old Cherrie M. Pulido, of Mt. Airy, faces charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and three traffic citations, GSP said. She was also taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.
