OSAGE COUNTY, OK : 79-year-old Hominy man dead after Osage County crash on Monday, 8th April 2024
A 79-year-old man from Hominy is dead after a crash south of Hominy, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
OHP said it happened around 11:30 a.m. on Monday on OK-99 near Country Road 5238, about 2.5 miles south of Hominy.
According to OHP, a Dodge Caravan was going north on OK-99 and a Chevy pickup was going south on OK-99.
OHP said the Caravan crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting the pickup.
According to OHP, the crash was caused by the driver of the Caravan, 86-year-old Lloyd Meyer of Osage, being sleepy.
The driver of pickup, 79-year-old Wayne Brown, was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where he was pronounced dead, OHP said.
