Portsmouth, VA: DUI likely in crash with overturned vehicle on Monday, July 20th 2015

Portsmouth police say alcohol was likely involved in a crash Monday evening that shut down the intersection of High and Willett streets for more than an hour.Chopper 10 video of the scene showed one of the two vehicles involved overturned.Detective Misty Holley said the suspected DUI driver was taken to a local hospital, and so were the driver and passenger of the other vehicle. All three were adults and all injuries were not life-threatening.Holley said Monday night that charges were pending against the suspected DUI driver.The crash scene wasn’t cleared until sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.No further information has been released.
