GARRISON, MN : Garrison crash injures Brainerd woman on Wednesday, 3rd October 2018

An 82-year-old Brainerd woman was transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash in Garrison just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the injured woman as Elaine Pearl Dahlquist. Dahlquist was traveling southbound on Highway 18 in her Lexus sedan, when the vehicle collided with a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 55-year-old Nancy Mae Helmin, of Hillman, at the intersection of Highway 18 and Monroe Street. Helmin was not injured.Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the state patrol, and the road was wet at the time. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
