One man is dead and two others injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Northeast Austin Saturday evening.
It incident happened on the 5000 block of Ed Bluestein Blvd. at 6:15 p.m.
Two motorcycles and one vehicle was involved in the collision, according to Austin Police. A total of three people were involved in the crash.
According to APD Sergeant Karl Haverland, two motorcycles lost control after bumping into each other. One motorcycle ran into the back of an SUV, pinning the motorcyclist underneath the vehicle. After getting the 40 year-old man out from under the vehicle, Travis County EMS attempted CPR and later pronounced him dead at University Medical Center Brackenridge.
APD reports no foul play is suspected.
"Every weekend it seems like we have some festivities here in Austin, whether its South by Southwest, and this weekend is Texas Relays," Haverland said. "So everyone needs to slow down, take their time, and look out for one another."
