McKeesport, PA : Olin Simpson, 44, man dies in wreck on Westinghouse Bridge early Saturday, August 27, 2016

A McKeesport man died early Saturday in a crash on the Westinghouse Bridge.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as Olin Simpson, 44.

County spokeswoman Amie Downs said Simpson had been driving one of two vehicles involved in a crash at about 3:30 a.m. on the bridge, which carries Route 30 over Turtle Creek and the Tri-Boro Expressway between East Pittsburgh and Wilmerding. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital for treatment, where they remain, Downs said.

Route 30 was closed in both directions between Center Street and Clyde Avenue until about 7 a.m.
