Putnam County, FL : Putmam motorcyclist dead in crash with car on Tuesday evening October 14th 2014

A Putnam County motorcyclist was killed Tuesday when he struck the side of a car that pulled a U-turn in his path, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Samuel B. Aleshire, 58, of Interlachen was northbound on County Road 315 at Pepper Place about 6 p.m. behind a Mazda driven by 22-year-old Ambur Carter who made a U-turn in front of the motorcycle, the Highway Patrol said. Aleshire struck the driver’s door of the car and was thrown from the motorcycle. Aleshire, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Carter and passenger Michael Smith, 24, both of St. Augustine, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts. Source : Putmam motorcyclist killed in crash with car Tuesday
