Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night on U.S. Highway 12 near Spalding.

One of the vehicles, a Toyota Corolla, caught fire and was fully engulfed by the time Idaho State Police responded, shortly after 6 p.m. The three people in the Corolla - driver Karee L. Picard, 53, Francis Picard, 54, and a juvenile, all of Lapwai - were able to escape the blaze and all were taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Sgt. Rich Adamson said. No information of the extent of their injuries was available Wednesday evening.
