SEARSMONT, ME ; 1 dead, 3 injured in Searsmont crash on Saturday, 27th July 2024

One person died and three others were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Searsmont on Saturday.

It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Appleton Ridge Road, the Waldo County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday in a news release.

An initial investigation showed that a 2007 Nissan Versa went off the road and hit two large trees, the release stated.
