An Alva woman was hospitalized with injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning.
Susan Darlene Perks, 55, was admitted to Share Medical Center in Alva in stable condition with internal trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 11 a.m. Monday on U.S. 281 1 mile north of Alva.
According to the report, Perks was a passenger in a 2008 Pontiac Torrent driven by Roy Earl Perks, 56, of Alva. They were driving north on U.S. 281 and slowed to make a left turn when their vehicle was hit from behind by a 2001Dodge 3500 pickup driven by Braxton Charles Kornele, 19, of Fort Supply.
Roy Perks was treated at Share Medical Center and released, according to the report, while Kornele was not injured.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The cause of the accident was listed as Kornele following too closely.
