Lincoln, NE : Woman injured in crash near 40th, Pine Lake on Wednesday, January, 24th 2018

A woman was injured Wednesday after an SUV crashed into two others as their drivers exchanged information following an earlier crash near 40th Street and Pine Lake Road in south Lincoln, a police official said.

The crashes were reported at about 9:45 a.m. at 40th Street and Faulkner Drive, near Williamsburg Village.

Two SUVs had pulled over to the side of the road following an earlier crash in the southbound lanes of 40th Street, Lincoln Police Capt. Danny Reitan said.

A third SUV then crashed into them, injuring one of the drivers from the original crash, Reitan said.

She was taken to a local hospital and her injuries were listed as not life-threatening Wednesday evening. No one else was injured.
