MILL VILLAGE, PA : Cambridge Springs man killed in motorcycle-deer crash on Sunday, 14th October 2018

The Pennsylvania State Police said a Cambridge Springs man was driving his motorcycle south on Route 19 in LeBoeuf Township when a deer ran in his path and the motorcycle and deer collided late Sunday afternoon.

The motorcyclist, identified by state police on Sunday night as 22-year-old Robert J. Russell, later died at UPMC Hamot.

The crash was reported on Sunday at 4:38 p.m. in the 14000 block of Route 19, Erie County 911 reported. According to state police, Russell was traveling south on a 2006 Suzuki M50 Boulevard and was south of Route 6N when a deer ran out from the west side of the roadway and into the motorcycle’s path. Russell was thrown from the motorcycle, troopers reported.
