One person was killed and three others were hurt in a fiery collision between a van and a car Thursday afternoon, according to Kentucky State Trooper Charles Loudermilk.
Loudermilk said the two vehicles struck one another head-on near Eden Ridge Road, and the smaller of the pair overturned and caught fire.
A witness, Michael Chestnut, said he helped pull three teenagers from the flaming wreckage of the car. They were airlifted to local hospitals.
Howard Reilly, 46, of Augusta, was driving the van. The Bracken County coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Trooper Charles Wagner is continuing to investigate the collision.
