WASHINGTON COUNTY, TX : DPS investigating fatal Washington County crash on Monday, 1st July 2024

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal one-vehicle crash in Washington County.

According to DPS, the crash happened on Monday, July 1, at approximately 8:07 p.m. on Old Chappell Hill Road.

The initial investigation showed a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling westbound, entering a curve at an unsafe speed, leaving the road, and striking a metal fence. The driver was unrestrained and ejected, according to DPS.

The driver, Michael Dudich, 43, of Brenham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
