Kankakee, IL : Teen injured in single-vehicle crash on Sunday, January 29, 2017

A home in the 100 block of West Walnut Street in Watseka was heavily damaged when a vehicle veered off the road shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday and crashed into the house.

According to police, 18-year-old Kyle B. Bennett, of Sheldon, lost control of his vehicle when he reached for something, jumped the curb, struck a utility pole and veered into the house.

No one was injured.

Bennett was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear a seat belt. He posted bond and was released.
