Tampa, FL :5 injured in wrong-way crash on Memorial Hwy on Wednesday, July 15th 2015

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a wrong-way crash with injuries on Memorial Highway near SB I-275 in Tampa.A disoriented elderly woman driving a Toyota Corolla travelling northbound in the southbound lanes of Memorial Highway north of I-275 collided with a Ford Explorer. The SUV was occupied by four people. The crash occurred a little after 9:00 p.m. Two lanes of traffic are blocked on Memorial Highway.All five occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital.Motorists should avoid the area if possible during the traffic investigation.Charges are pending.
