ST. PETERSBURG , PA : Fatal crash ties up south I-275 on Howard Frankland Bridge on Thursday, 12th December, 2019

A fatal crash Thursday on the Howard Frankland Bridge left southbound Interstate 275 backed up for miles. Motorists should find another way into Pinellas County for the rest of the night.
The crash took place at about 6 p.m. A 2016 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by a 54-year-old Pinellas Park man was traveling south in the center outside lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor pick-up truck driven by Jeffrey Thomas Ramsey, 53, of Sanford, was also traveling south along on the bridge in the center inside lane, troopers said.The Toyota attempted to change lanes and ended up striking the Ford, according to the Highway Patrol. That caused the Toyota to flip over on the bridge while the Ford ended up crashing into the outside barrier wall.
The driver of the Toyota, whose named was not released by troopers, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
