The man who was driving in a Christmas Day crash that killed Issac Santillan on his ninth birthday had his Florida driver's license revoked after a 2011 DUI, court records show.
Julio Ruiz, 29, of Fort Pierce, was driving east on Cortez Boulevard when he blew through a stop sign and crashed into an unoccupied pickup parked across the street on Sunrise Boulevard.
Issac died on scene. His 6-year-old sister, Alani, Ruiz's daughter, went by rescue helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
