Police say one young man is dead and another is in critical condition after their car crashed into tree.
City police tell local media that the driver of a 1997 BMW lost control of the vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the West Seneca Turnpike
A 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old man suffered a head injury and is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital. A third occupant, a 22-year-old man, wasn't injured.
The men's names are being withheld until relatives have been notified.
A stretch of the turnpike remained closed until 4:30 a.m. Friday.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
