COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC : Man dies in single-vehicle crash in Columbus County on Monday, 19th September 2016

A Columbus County man died after a single-vehicle accident in Fair Bluff Monday afternoon.
According to William Hannah, assistant coroner for Columbus County, the accident happened just before 1 p.m. near the intersection of West Goodman and Bardin streets.
Hannah said a vehicle carrying three or four passengers was traveling east on West Goodman Street when it ran off the road, hit the shoulder, and ended up partially submerged in a ditch full of water.
Hannah said Otis Jerel Martin, 28, of Fair Bluff passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.
The other occupants of the car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
