Two people were hospitalized in a crash involving a motorcycle and SUV in North Fort Myers Thursday afternoon.
It happened on SR-31 and N. River Road at around 3:15 p.m.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was going west on N. River Road near the intersection of SR-31. A motorcycle was stopped at the stop sign and entered the intersection to cross SR-31. That's when the SUV continued through the intersection and entered the path of the motorcycle.
The front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the SUV. The SUV continued going west and finally stopped on Old Bayshore Road. The impact cause the motorcycle to flip.
The two people riding the motorcycle were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital. One person is in critical condition while the other person suffered serious injuries.
