Springfield, MO : Petra Hensler, 53, dies after pedestrian accident on N. Glenstone Ave. in Greene County on Tuesday, January 26, 2016

A woman died at a hospital on Saturday after being hit by a vehicle in north Springfield four days earlier. Petra Hensler was 53 years old.

The crash was just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 2515 N. Glenstone Ave., near Kearney Street. Hensler and Kevin Drake, 56, both of Springfield, were walking west across Glenstone when Hensler was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound in the outside lane. Hensler was critically injured. Drake and the driver, a 19-year-old man from Springfield, were not injured.

Springfield police say the investigation is ongoing, and there is no indication that impairment was a factor in the crash.
