TOPPENISH, WA : Mabton man killed in early Saturday crash on State Route 22 on Saturday, October, 7th 2017

The Washington State Patrol said a 20-year-old Mabton man died in an early Saturday crash about 5 miles east of Toppenish on State Route 22.

Troopers said Jesse J. M. Sanchez was headed east around 2:40 a.m. when his 2006 Kia Spectra crossed the center line and hit a westbound 1999 Ford F550 hop truck driven by 27-year-old Marcos A. Garcia-Espindola of Sunnyside. Sanchez died at the scene and Garcia-Espindola was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital as a precaution, the State Patrol said.
