Newbury Park, CA : One person injured in a four-vehicle collision on Highway 101 near the Ventu Park Road on Sunday morning, May 22, 2016

At least one person was taken to the hospital Sunday morning after a four-car collision temporarily blocked traffic on southbound Highway 101 near the Ventu Park Road exit in Newbury Park.

The accident, which was reported a little after 10 a.m., left one vehicle on its side in the lane nearest the center divider.

One or more patients with minor injuries were taken by ambulance from the accident scene to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.

The California Highway Patrol reported that all lanes of traffic had reopened as of 11:10 a.m.
