Kettle Falls, WA : One person died and two drivers injured after a two car crash on Highway 25 in Stevens County on Thursday morning, December 3, 2015

A person is dead after a two car crash south of Kettle Falls in Stevens County Thursday morning.

The crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Highway 25 about 32 miles south of Kettle Falls, according to a Washington State Patrol press release.

Michael S. Sakach, 59, was driving north on Highway 25 when his car crossed the center line and hit a southbound car driven by Colville resident Eric R. Cox, 42. Both drivers were injured and taken to Mount Carmel Hospital.

The Washington State Patrol has not yet released the name of the person who died or which car that person was in. Charges are pending.
