CAMERON PARK, CA : 1 killed in crash that shut down part of Highway 50 in El Dorado County on Thursday, 28th February 2019

A pedestrian was killed in a crash Thursday night that shut down part of Highway 50 in El Dorado County, officials said.

The pedestrian, whom authorities have not yet identified, walked onto the freeway from the Ponderosa Road off-ramp around 9:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.He was struck by two vehicles. First responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
