Washington Township, NJ : Teenage girl in critical condition after hit by a car while walking across Route 42 on Saturday night, April 23, 2016
Authorities say a teenage girl is in critical condition after she was hit by a car as she crossed a southern New Jersey road.
Washington Township Police the Sicklerville teen, who was not identified, was hit about 8 p.m. by a 21-year-old man in a Toyota Yaris as she crossed Route 42 near Greentree Road.
Police say she remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon after she was taken to Cooper University Hospital. The man, who was also not identified, was not injured.
No charges have been filed.
Capt. Dennis Sims says the investigation is continuing.
