Erie, CO : One person seriously injured in three-car crash on Erie Parkway on Tuesday, 7th January, 2020

One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Erie Parkway.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Weld County Road 7 and Erie Parkway. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, according to Amber Luttrell, spokesperson for the Erie Police Department. One of the vehicles was a trash truck, which overturned and spilled debris on the road.

Luttrell said the person taken to the hospital was the only one seriously injured, and was rescued after being pinned in their vehicle.

She said she did not yet know how many people were in the other vehicles and if they had any minor injuries.
