CLEARWATER, FL : Hit-and-run driver identified after critically injuring man on scooter in Clearwater crash on Monday, 13th May 2024

Clearwater police say they've identified a pick-up truck driver who hit a man on a motorized scooter on Monday afternoon and drove away.

The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Hampton Road.

Few details have been released, but the man on the scooter was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. His injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
