Defiance County, OH : Driver dies in Defiance County crash early sunday morning on May 11th 2014

A 26-year-old northwest Ohio man was killed early Sunday morning when the car he was driving overturned and he was ejected.

Jarad J. Sharp of Sherwood was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora south on Coy Road north of Sherwood at about 2:39 a.m. Sunday when the road changed from pavement to gravel south of Bradshaw Road, according to a statement issued by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

It said the car went into a ditch and overturned, throwing Sharp out with fatal injuries.

Two passengers, Jedadiah L. Sharp, 26, of Sherwood, and Derrek A. Sharp, 23, of Blakeslee, Ohio, were treated and released, the state patrol said.

No one in the car was wearing a seat belt and the patrol believes alcohol was a factor in the crash.
